So Christmas is fast approaching, and if your house is anything like mine that means you have tons of food! It seems the holiday season is all about food and drink, and it can be difficult for those who over eat.
This thread can be a little haven for everyone struggling over the holiday season.
Remember: you do not have to eat just because the food is in front of you. Listen to your body- if you feel full then stop eating. Sounds simple in theory but can be hard to put into practice.
At home I have a side plate that I use sometimes as my dinner plate and it definitely helps me not to over eat. So perhaps go down to Wilkinsons or Asda and buy a cheap little side plate and use that over Christmas as your dinner plate, that way you can't over fill it.
If you eat slowly, taking at least 15 minutes to eat, it gives your body time to get the signals to your brain that you are full up.
Anyone else have any top tips for dealing with the abundance of food over Christmas and New Year?
